Goes to the movies:once every few months
This is NOT a movie, so the above categories really do not apply. The production was fabulous - voices, costumes, staging, backstage interviews and info - the whole package. Not a surprise for the Met.
However, we were disappointed with the sound in the theatre, or actually LACK of sound. Even a grade B movie comes with good sound these days. The transmission of this production, which was done via the DISH network, I believe, came with underwhelming sound, which with opera, was surprising and disappointing. The walls of the facility were lined with speakers, all silent. Unfortunately, my partner did not want to wait to question management, so I am happy to have the opportunity to mention it here.
