Stunning visual effects, the 3-D IMAX experience was incredible. Cameron has created a detailed alien world that was fun to explore along with the Avatars. Had he left it at that I would have given 5 stars to the movie. Instead it evolved into a fundamentalist environmental screed where the evil U.S. military beats up on the "valiant", saintly Tree worshipers to get some valuable rocks for evil capitalist corporations. Ridiculous. That almost pulled it down to 1 star for me. The Avatars are more interesting than the cartoonish buffoons trying to defend them. Sigourney Weaver will be laughing all the way to the bank as the evil capitalist Cameron also makes a fortune off this visually delightful, content foolish movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
