I kind of agree with the apathetic comment below.
I guess nothing compares to the original, even 30 years later.
I found Hopkins performance okay with the possession scenes, but weak in other scenes. Or maybe it was just the character that was weak.
Considering this was based on true events, it does add somewhat of a chill to the story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Okay, so I did fall asleep thru the second time. Went to see it with a friend, then went back 2 hours later with my hubby, as he wanted to see it badly. Outstanding!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
