very enjoyable movie. I didn't think the signature intellectual approach of A.C. Doyle's Holmes stories was overridden by the violence common to most contemporary movies- as I was afraid this movie might allow. Though there was much more violence than I think was really necessary to make this movie appealing to a broad audience. not suitable for young children. plot was compelling. dialog was pretty solid. acting was very good. set and costume design and cgi was very impressive.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
