First of all, Denzel is always awesome in his acting, so that was a given. The story has met with some controversy within the Christian world, and I can understand why. However, from an artists' perspective, I feel there was a positive message, with high importance of the Bible, which left you remembering the importance of faith and hope. It was a grim picture, but entertaining on all levels.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great effects and use of color and imagination in creating this unique story line. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3D Imax experience! (except for the waiting lines to get in!) It was a total escape, with a nice ending, and little to no violence or cursing!

Morgan Freeman has never had a disappointing performance, and this acting masterpiece follows in tradition! What an inspiration to see leadership prevail, and how it can make a difference in the lives of people.
Matt Damon did a great job, as well, and his accent was very credible. Great family movie!
