A Visual Feast

Avatar is a visual feast and one cannot fully process all of it in a single viewing. There are several plot lines that interweave to make a good story, including an excellent villain. I would have given this 5 stars, except the pacing dragged a bit in a couple spots. It's hard to critique the acting, because one minute, you're watching live actors, the next, you're watching digitally animated characters. Cameron was careful on the transitions between the two, which helps. If possible, definitely see the 3-D version for a better interactive experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
