A combination of the A-Team, Rambo, MASH, Dances with Wolves, Gorillas in the Mist, and a touch of a handful of other anti-establishment, preachy stories with a bit too much in your face messaging. Not that I disagree with the anti-colonial, anti-corporate, anti-imperialism sentiment.
The execution of this repackage story was incredible. I don't recall a better design of an alien world complete with creative and appealing creatures and plants.
The characters were somewhat flat. I am not sure why a huge budget movies like this didn't warrant a better main lead.
Overall, a must see for movie buffs but the movie suffered from a contrived plot-line.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
