I originally wanted to see this movie because the sets and characters were so beautiful. As an artist, I was intrigued. I did not dream that I would be immersed and completely lose track of time. The message of greed and ethnocentricity of our culture was a good one that I hope is clearly understood by all viewers. I was saddened by the typical lack of respect for a different culture. We should embrace the differences and be enriched by it. The movie? Definitely Oscar material. It shot right into my top 5 all-time faves. Beautiful sets, costuming, linguistics, acting, story - everything. Don't miss this one. It will be a classic...
