Better story than I was led to expect. Some of the movie dragged when they were setting up the Avitar experiencing and learning the ways of this new world. Some of that necessary to make his transformation of character credible. Some nice early groundwork to make the ending believeable. Action scenes very good.
Was a tad disconcerting to have to root for nature loving aliens resisting the evil American Empire and massacring its soldiers. A general asks the Avatar at the end, "How does it feel to betray your own kind?" does sting. Should play well in the Middle East!
Nicely done overall and should be seen in 3 D.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
