The writing was definately not up to par with the rest of the movie. They need a beter script if they want to be recognized with The Lord of the Rings, rather than as a typical 14-year-old's story. (well, maybe that's an overstatement) Sure the effects were over the top, but they could've gotten by with less and still have made it look incredible. All in all, well done, but they won't make as big of a profit as they could.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
