3-D and IMAX have never looked better

The visuals give new meaning to the phrase "out of this world." 3-D and IMAX are at their best. However, the acting was fair, the plot was interesting but I was not blown away by the movie at all. It impressed me as unAmerican which for a movie which will be seen internationally will not improve America's image. James Cameron used techniques from "ET," "Jurassic Park, " "Apocalypse Now," and "Star Wars" so I didn't see anything that original other than the Na'vi characters which were fantastic.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
