OK, it's true - the plot and especially the character development leave something to be desired. It's blatantly melodramatic.
But see it anyway!!!
Some superb acting, both live and animated. The IMAX 3D technology is married to first-rate animation, art direction, and effects making this probably the most visually lush and rich film ever made.
Raises the bar for George Lucas (who started this revolution) and everyone else. See it as it's meant to be seen - IMAX AND 3D - and don't carp about what it doesn't do. What it does do is alter the future of cinema. Be there.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
