The 3D IMAX version of this movie was fantastic. At times early on, I found myself rolling my eyes at the cliched dialog. There were the predictable exchanges of trite writing from somewhat expected characters...the muscle-head military leader, the female head of science department who resents the military involvement. As the movie went on, though, the writing got better & I got lost in the amazing effects and storyline. I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, but this was a movie I would have been sorry to miss in the theater.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
