This movie is worth seeing because it represents the future of movie technology. Visually, it is a stunning movie and should be watched in 3-D. However, the plot was borrowed from multiple movies, including, “Dances with Wolves”, “Aliens”, “Terminator 2”, “The Abyss”, and Disney’s “Pocahontas”. James Cameron was so preoccupied with the details of the plants, animals, and aliens; he forgot to write an engaging story. The story is a bland tale of evil greedy humans vs. the peaceful low tech natives. The bad corporate and military guys are a cliché and it is tough to hate them, because you know their fate 5 minutes into the movie and you don’t care about them.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
