A solid 3--instead of Nine

Wow--this was a major disappointment. It was simply a hodgepodge of musical numbers with very little story line. You had NO engagement with the characters whatsoever.I love Daniel Day Lewis and he portrays quite a haunted soul here-- he is the ultimate actor--and can sing--but you never really care about Guido...and get ready to hear the name Guido bantered about! GUIDO...GUIDO,GUIDO...other lovely ladies come in and depart--one song each--never really part of the plot!
I did love the staging of all the characters at the end...but left the theater thinking what went wrong here?
