This movie has a very strong cast and is visually engaging - costumes, sets, effects are terrific! If you have read the book, try not to think too much about that - this Holmes is much more like James Bond than the original Conan Doyle character. Just enjoy the hero's "Iron Man"-style tricks and the repartee among the characters. The plot moves right along.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
