I found the acting to be fabulous. I can understand why the nominations for actors, especially for Colin Firth and hopefully for the actor who plays the part of the speech therapst. Both did a fabulous job. For the pure history buff it probably stretches the truth, still movies are meant to be entertaining and this one held the audience spellbound.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Went with my spouse. She and I both agree it was one of the best special effects movies we have seen in quite some time. Definitely an Oscar winning movie. The 3D made it one of the most realistic ones I have ever seen. Much better than the old versions of the 50's and 60's. THe plot left a little to desire, still everything else makes it one you should definitely go, see and enjoy. Forget the movie critics. Movies are meant to give you enjoyment -- the critics too often look for too much detail and lose touch with what the movie is trying to do -- more often than not just entertain -- not send some moralistic messge.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
