Strange....as a fan of the 60's Tv series, that show could have used more humor, more explosions and some longer Kato fights. This new film had overkill of all of the above. I liked the funny interplay of the characters but when Seth puts on the mask, his voice should change and he should seriously be The Green Hornet. Maybe they can refine this in a sequel? I think there's hope they could still hone this into a better series. This is too good a character to ruin.

Don't over anaylize it!

I guess this is the poor kind of 3D when a film is originally filmed in 2D and then remastered ala faux 3D. A rip-off! However the movie did deliver on some great action scenes and monsters. I'm not looking for Gladiator or Braveheart here. I didn't think the original was no thematic masterpiece either. I saw it at the first run theater as well. My guess with this film and the Wolfman looked suspiciously alike as well. Either there were many script rewrites or a change in mid-production or parts were reshot. But it has that look as well. Anyway, just get a big bag of popcorn and turn your brain off. I enjoyed it that way better.
