I could name half a dozen books from which the plot could've been "borrowed" and poorly, at that. Really big and offensive holes in the science..do you die if you die in VR. Are the Navi so much like us that they mimic our mannerisms, culture and emotions? Try the Atevi for a more logical take. Floating islands? On a moon rotating around a gas giant? World trees? Been done and better. Planet fighting back against evil miners? Incredibly stupid name for a new element. 6-legged animals and bipeds in the same evolutionary scheme? On the positive, fabulous CGI..amazing to see the interface between real and CGI, better than Rings. Don't see this for the predictable plot but for it's 3d perfection.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
