Avatar 3D IMAX covers broad interest

I wasn't expecting to enjoy Avatar nearly as much as I did. I went with my 68 year old mother who loves computer-digital effects and my 48 year old husband who loves action and Sci-Fi. I like both but when I feel overrun by stimulation overload, I tend to yawn. We arrived at an over-filled IMAX theater the day after Christmas and spent the first 10 minutes searching for seats. I was quickly absorbed into the lush tropical forest of Pandora. And I was pleased to find likable characters and expressive faces. The nature-lovers, humanists, sci-fi techies, war-action mongers, and those in love with a sweet old-fashioned love story should really enjoy this film. The 2 hour 40 minute length didn't even make me squirm in my uncomfortable seat.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
