The good and the bad

Great animation, creative concepts, characters, several laugh out loud moments but storyline doesn't sustain interest and it really drags on too long, well past the point of intrigue and novelty. I did particularly like the "Star Wars" satirical parities (also "Blazing Saddles"). Unfortunately, my wife was definitely snoozing by the end and I became the "designated watcher" in case we missed something important (we didn't).
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Worn out humor. Lame interactions. Very few laughs. Everything predictable after seeing previews. With this cast, should have been better.

Matt Damon is too good an actor to waste time doing this kind of political nonsense. Poorly disguised political commentary on the war in Iraq. If I wanted this sort of slanted view I would watch CNN. Should have gone to Alice in Wonderland instead. Would have been more realistic!
