Disappointed my low hopes

I was obligated to see this because my girlfriend likes musicals but even she didn't like this one and apologized for dragging me along. She did like Mama Mia for an indication of her Movie taste. My sister who accompanied us did like Nine but she likes almost everything. Low points were Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman who disinterest me. Sophia Loren reminded me of the self indulgent elderly Spock appearance in the last Star Trek movie. In the car scene with Daniel Day-Lewis she looked good but in every other shot she looked overcooked like a Miami retiree. The one and only star is shared by Penélope Cruz who was smokin' hot and Marion Cotillard who also gave quite a performance.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
