Truthfully, my sons dragged me to see this one. I do love the romantic vampire stories, but... Surprisingly I found this movie entertaining and wasn't disappointed. However, as far as living dead movies go, this wasn't anything original.
We went to see this movie because it was the only one that we hadn't seen yet, that day. It was much better than expected. Glad we went to see it. Liked the action and sweet ending.
Took my 70 year old mom (who hates the movie theatre) and 3 sons between 10 and 17. We ALL loved this movie. Lots of action and good humor. It's not the same Sherlock Holmes that my mother enjoyed years back, but she phoned again to tell me how much she LOVED that movie.
Entertaining movie, 3D much better than it use to be. However, does NOT live up to the hype in so many programs on our local Fox channel. Fox worked very hard at selling this movie to the public. Same old tired story line, bad Americans trying to steal the land from the Native... blah blah blah. Two other movies came out the next weekend that were far superior to this film, but without the local channel selling, selling, selling... pushing this film into our everyday, they seemed not as popular. What a shame, because they were so good!
