Great Pixar Movie

Wall-E is a great movie and a testament to the people that make up Pixar. I get the feeling that these people generally love what they do, love Pixar and love the people they work with. Wall-E did not keep my attention as much as much as previous Pixar movies, but I was entertained through most of it and I enjoyed it. There are lots of funny parts that were not in the previews. I am not real up on the whole Disney and Pixar relationship, but things that have happened recently lead me to believe Disney has a larger hand in Pixar today. There were several previews of Disney animated movies (cgi based, not cartoon based or whatever you would call Disney animated movies like “Cinderella”) and I would guess the “more Disney version” of Pixar is handling them. My point of mentioning that in this review is that Wall-E had a partial musical feel to it, which is like most of the non Pixar Disney animated movies. Maybe not all the elements of Wall-E are my cup of tea, but my one of my son's (11 years) who did not want to see Wall-E because there would be little or no talking, which is true of the first 30 minutes, more true of the first 15 minutes, decided it was his favorite Pixar movie. He does love more of the musical Disney shows and movies like “High School Musical.” Cars is still my favorite Pixar Movie.
I agree that Wall-E may not keep younger children as entertained as previous Pixar movies featuring toys or bugs or rats or monsters or super hero’s or car’s. I just think that young kids are more interested in those things compared to robots or things portraying AI which is not part of their daily lives. I believe this movie is great, has an interesting plot and you will enjoy it.

Great Movie if your a fa or not!

This is a mixed movie. As a fan of Speed Racer, I rate it between 4.75 and 5, but for someone that knows nothing about Speed Racer, I rate it between 3.75 and 4.25. I believe anyone can enjoy this movie as it will entertain and grip you in to the challenges faced by Speed and his family. This movie will make you laugh, cry, get angry, etc. One the other hand it is one of those movies set in an alternant reality that is also futuristic and I think it comes through as more than just a setting. Also, what is great for fans is that a little to fair amount of cheesiness is included and some of it is strong which keeps with the original series. The cgi is awesome and I only noticed one glaring issue which I think is awesome for a move with this much cgi. There were some minor things that could be seen as how things work in this futuristic reality. Go see this movie and think you’ll be surprised.

Great Movie! Great Narnia Movie!

This is a must see movie. Regardless of your opinion about the “Chronicles of Narnia” series of books, you will enjoy this movie. It's different, has a great plot, lots of action scenes and the cgi is awesome. In some ways it's better than the 1st movie,...Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, but in other ways it's not. I guess the first time you see the creatures is the best and the 1st movie had a bit more drama. Go see it for yourself!

Great Family Movie and Funny Too

First I will get out my negative rant. The Critic Rating for this movie was 2 stars which was the same rating as “Superhero Movie.” So either they had person that just has no reservations about anything review “Superhero Movie” and had someone with about 1/10th of a pulse rate “College Road Trip” or “Hollywood” is just biased towards clean movies. I cannot understand how these two movies can have the same rating. Anyway, while the movie is targeted towards younger teens and older children, the middle elementary school to middle school crowds, I believe almost anyone would find this movie funny and take something away. It is far funnier than the reviews lead you to believe. I laughed from start to finish and I believe that the plot was well organized by the writers and directors and portrayed by the actors. They did go over the top one some things, but think that was to present just how over the top we can get about things, especially parents when it comes to their children. I believe the majority of people would enjoy this movie.

I was very disappointed with this movie. It is supposed to be a comedy, but it seems that the only things the writers thought were funny were cuss words and vulgar references. I may be a little stricter in deciding what I consider trash compared to the typical movie watcher; however, I do not believe anyone can make a real defense for this movie having any substance. It simply tried to make light of several other super hero movies and there were some funny parts and a couple of very funny parts, but the substance seems to be just how much meaningless trash talk they could through in to every scene. If I had read a review I would not have gone to see this movie, but given it has Drake Bell and most of what I have seen him in, is funny and clean, I just decided to go. I was very surprised and disappointed that he would associate himself with that much garbage.
We all know that junk food is not good for you and leads to many health problems if not taken in moderation, but junk food tastes great. Watching this movie is like eating way too much of something that has the same negative properties of junk food, but tastes horrible.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
