schlock, yet expensive

Add a dimension to the viewing, and remove one from the script.
It's a given that there are a finite number of plot conceits available; here it's using every capitalist gimmick while bashing the same.
For far less money, you can obtain a similar experience by downing a half bottle of nyquil and racing through the lighting section of home depot.
The complexity of the forest scenes is amazing (nice, no doubt exhausting job weta!). This is entertainment for people who experience the outdoors through reality tv, xbox. If you are concerned about the environment your money would be better spent by skipping this 2+ hour slog and sending a check on over to the sierra club.
