The movie provided what my husband and I wanted; that being entertainment. However, the Hugh Grant character seemed bored and the SJP character never seemed to stop whining! That was really annoying. The country characters were colorful and I thought wonderfully cast. Beautiful scenery both urban and country and that singer! Wow!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was a delightful movie for the entire movie to see. The music was catchy and the story line simple enough that it didn't need explaining to even the youngest member of our group, which ranged in age from 9-54. I saw the original and one question that I had was what happened to that neat and manicured home of Dave? It looked unkempt and rundown.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
