Not for young kids!

I am first to say I love Toy Story and the animation is totally incredible! But this time I was disappointed and somewhat alarmed. There were many scenes I thought were inappropriate and scary for young kids, especially when they almost get incinerated in a land fill. (I'm glad we didn't see that in 3D!) It was way over the top. There seemed to be a lot more sad times too, instead of the usual "feel good" stuff. My 9yr olds were upset through a lot of the movie. Of course, there are also funny, well thought out scenes (Buzz's Spanish mode) but some of the humor was lost on the younger generation e.g. Barbie and Ken (though I really enjoyed it!). Great show for the family with older kids. Wish mine could have laughed like TS 1&2 instead of crying...4 star rating for older kids, 2 star for younger.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
