Yeah, the plot was a little thin, but SO WHAT?
Gorgeous visuals, ass-kicking fight scenes, pulsating and hypnotic soundtrack.
I thought they did a great job of taking some of the original movie's stuff and updating it, like the lightcycles, solar-sailer, and the big carrier thingy.
Overall, the movie had a stunning look, I was really transported into a digital world, with technology so advanced as to seem magical.
As always, the IMAX-3D experience did not fail to WOW me. I'm basically ruined for 2D now.

Don't listen to the "critics"; GO SEE IT!

I read a couple of reviews about this incredible movie, about how the plot was shallow and derivative, those people should be ashamed of themselves. This was a beautiful story, and carries a deeper message about our relationship to our planet and to each other.
Of course, it was also the most beautiful, exhilarating thing I've ever seen on screen. The IMAX 3-D experience was simply OUT OF THIS WORLD, and has ruined the regular 2-D movie for me forever. Don't listen to the naysayers, GO SEE THIS MOVIE, and be taken away to a place you won't wanna come back from!
