Outstanding but something missing

Innovative effects. Engaging story. Loved the 3-D. But something was missing. Perhaps a bit too long on some of the scenes as if I was taking a tour of the planet. Story a bit predictable. I wanted to walk out and say, that was great! (like I did with District 9) but didn't. All in all, it provides a peak into the future of movie making but not worth standing in a long line to see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
