The most visually stunning movie I have ever seen. From the first moment you know you are in for a defining moment in cinematic history. perhaps the highest compliment I can give is that after a few minutes you forget you are watching a 3-D movie as you are totally immersed into this bold new world. The 3-D never seems to be too"gadgety " and it helps the story line rather than try to wow you with technology.
That being said, the story line is in itself compelling, if not original. I feel the movie could have been trimmed by 15 or 20 minutes.
My advice is go see Avatar, but bring a seat cushion and get to tthe theater early to get a comfortable seat. Enjoy the ride!
