I've read all of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works involving Sherlock Holmes. I went to this film expecting a rollicking good adventure, but one that would bear little resemblence to Doyle's classic Holmes.
Well, the writers did their homework and created a dazzling masterpiece. They captured the nuances and neurotic flavor of the eccentric Holmes and merged it with a dynamic and physically impressive film.
The original Holmes as portrayed by Doyle was in fact a physically strong competent fighter.....the movie simply revs it up a few notches.
An exciting and thrilling film in all aspects. This is a movie not to miss.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
