.As a lover of movie musicals, this one misses and Rob Marshall loses credibility by stealing not from Fellini but from himself.
First as many have pointed out- you don't care about anyone.in the film
Secondly where Fellini is know for striking visuals, these visuals and art direction are mundane.
The choreography is 4th rate Fosse and we've seen it before and better.
Marshall tries to foist his Chicago concept on this and it simply doesn't work.
Makes me think that Marshall may indeed be a one trick (Chicago) pony.
Avoid at all costs. It was the worst 9 hours I've spent watching a movie. Really? It was just 1 hour and 50?
No, I do not recommend this movie.
