The visual imagery in Avatar was spectacular and sets the new standard for movie technology. James Horner's score perfectly complements the imagery. Nothwithstanding the very overt philosophical and politcal themes of the screenplay, the plot seems to drag at times. However, the fast-paced intense finale makes up for the prior plodding action. A very good movie, but not a "Titanic" one.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
