a tech leap forward

First you forget the big plastic glasses. Then you forget that it's cgi. Then you get caught up in the story, a science-fiction twist in which the mechanistic, imperial earthlings get their comeuppance by the aliens. Think Pocohantas, with a better outcome. See it in 3D, see it on Imax. A compelling and fully realized alien experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
