The movie is OK at best, but it is the type of experience that a hour into it you start to want to get the over-the-top finale that you know is coming done with. Downey again is good for roles he can be sewn into (has he really expanded his reach as an actor, or does he remain essentially the same character you saw in "Back to School" and has found roles that wrap themselves around him?) The essence of Sherlock Holmes was the intelligence of the storyline; too much focus on the F/X wizardry to please the Wii crowd. Watch the first two seasons of House instead.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
