Cameron dazzles with effects, loses story edge

Special effects and 3D are amazing. New agey religiosity, trite save the earth-ish blue people and interpretive dance routines are SILLY. You'd think someone spending multi-hundreds of millions on a movie would have somebody on the payroll to ask he question, "Do you think that's a little trite?" or
Haven't I seen that before?"

Story editor anyone?
Still, the blue people didn't lose me, and it's worth the price of admission just for the effects, but this ain't no Aliens or T-2.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
