Okay, so I knew going in that this movie would be a B rated, over the top, movie. However, one thing I despise is Hollywood pretending they know ANYTHING about politics. They are there for our amusement and nothing more. This movie was so insulting to the laws of this country that, as a 20 year veteran, I felt it a smack in the face to all veterans, past and present, defending a country and her laws. This cast of has-beens, including DeNiro, Alba, and Segal, couldn't have acted worse if they tried. It was quite simply the worst movie I've ever seen. It was pro-illegal immigration, anti-border sovereignty. I'm sorry I spent my money on it. Plus, the effects were mainly computer generated. It's sad that DeNiro had to be involved in something like this...how the mighty have fallen...
Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins save this movie from being a predictable bore. The story line was predictable all the way to the end. The special effects were great but I felt the gore wasn't really needed for effect. All in all, the movie was just barely over average. I'd wait to see this movie on Blu Ray if I had to do it all over again...
