Good But Not Great

It was not all I hoped it would be. I didn't feel I developed much of a closeness with the characters. I absolutely loved the original Disney version and the television series as a kid, and here I felt not even Tweedle dee and Tweedle Dum were as loveable as they could have been. Although the 3D was well done, I was hoping to see more of a wonderous Wonderland. I expected to love it somewhere between Sweeney Todd and Avatar... hoping Tim Burton could make a setting even more beautiful than the Na'vi forest, but since Alice's childhood experiences were not in the story more than a very very short time, I was disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
