I like Julia Roberts. However, getting to the plot of the story was like shooting in the dark and hoping the actors could pull it togeter in the end (which they did). It was a disaster from one scene to the next. I was expecting more of a "Mission Impossible" sequences and the movie kept falling apart. Wow, what can Isay.
Although I thought the movie was good, it could have been a lot better. I think there should have been more action from Klatu's protector rather turning into a million swarming destructive metallic insects. More action from the space ship would have been nice. The storyline was pretty good.
We enjoyed the movie. It was funny. I didn't care for the last scene wherein the brothers were beating up the young kids. Not a great idea to end on a scene of that nature (child abuse issues could be raised).
