Great effects - disappointing story. It was "The Wizard of Oz" meets "The Hobbit." They just ripped off both of those stories. All of the actors, except Alice, were very good.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Star Trek in IMAX

You have to see this at an IMAX theater if one is available to you. Great (and unexpected) job or retaining all the personalities and humor of the original series. Extremely good, casting and acting in that context. Original trekkie fans will be pleased. Story was stupid and could have used a few extra hours of re-do, but the effect in an IMAX theater is great for this type of movie. Leonard Nimoy was great and it's too bad they couldn't find a role for William Shatner.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
