Innovative effects is "all" this movie has going for it. As for the rest of the movie, I found myself extremely bored and trying to see the time on my watch. I actually yawned three times. The noise level is deafening...but then most "action" movies depend upon ear-splitting noise. This movie is a summer blockbuster and should have been released then. The storyline is predictable and has been seen in countless other "summer blockbusters." In its defense, the effects are extraordinary and should be seen for that - and for that alone - but be prepeared to experience those effects for close to three hours!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
