very immersive experience

Watching Avatar in 3D on the IMAX wsa amazing. The animation and effects created a great all-encompassing atmosphere that sucked the viewer into the movie. The action sequences and the panaoramic views traveling through this invented world were amazing to experience - and it truly was much more of an experience than just a "viewing".
The movie itself is just okay. Their are many interesting and well developed characters and the acting (can you still call voice-overs of computer generated characters acting?) was good. But the overall story was rather preachy and a little cliche (earth good - corporations and greed bad).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
