Rather Depressing

I like George Clooney. But I didn't care for this movie. It made me feel lonely, which I usually don't mind because I value my alone time. And it made me remember the helplessness you feel when you are the provider for your family and that is taken from you. The only thing that really impressed me was how he managed to spend so much time on the road and do it all out of one carry-on suitcase. Rather like Mary Poppins.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

Predictable or not, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It entertained me & gave me the ending I wanted. Amy Adams is her usual delightful character & Matthew Goode made me wish I could find my own Irish cutie. I will buy the DVD when it comes out so I can watch it again.

Saw this twice with my granddaughters. Enjoyed it both times. Youngest can hardly wait for the DVD to be released!

Beautifully done!

Wonderful characters brought to life a story I only knew partially. I can see why Victoria loved Albert till the day she died. He was charming, gallant and considerate. After the strictness of her childhood, she deserved nothing less. Beautiful costumes and sets. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Too Funny!

Every character in this movie was perfect. Baldwin was the perfect full-of-himself ex, Streep was delightfully on the fence, Martin is always the funniest, most charming "nerd" alive. It's one of the best comedies I've seen in ages and one I will definitely buy on DVD to watch over and over again!

As long as there was dancing (or Sophia Loren) I was interested. The rest of the time the movie just seemed way too long.
