The most visually incredible film I've ever seen. Historians will place 'Avatar' in the same rank as '2001: A Space Odyssey' and 'Blade Runner''. The storytelling mastery of James Cameron is in full force here with he emotional poignancy of 'Titanic' and the ferocious action of 'Aliens'. The acting is solid and the emotional range of the digital actors is amazing. The movie is totally immersive. I glanced around the theater and found the audience totally rapt--no talking or texting. Most of my popcorn was untouched as I was transported to another world. I've seen the Real3D and IMAX 3D versions and can recommend both although the Real3D is subtly superior in terms of image quality. A must see!
