Breathtaking - Game Changing CGI

For the first time CGI characters took on the depth and sensitivity of live actors. Through most of the film we forgot the characters were not real. While the sweep and grandeur of the portrayal of the alien world were about the best eye candy I've seen, the part I liked best were the close ups of the aliens' faces.Like the "Jazz Singer," the first major full length film with sound, Avatar is a total game changer. It will be known as the first film where CGI came alive and 3D became more than an novelty. SEE THIS IN IMAX 3D if at all possible.
The predictable plot and weak script shouldn't stop you from seeing this hugely entertaining film.
