There is no doubt that the special effects and 3D are very good. But I think the wonderful story that was beginning to develop got lost in the last 45 minutes of the film. Up until that point the film was beginning to present a very subtle and engaging look at the futility and senselessness of war and power hungry predators (the Americans). The contrast between the narrow minded super power and the gentle and loving way of life of the indigenous people presented such a contrast but it got lost in the much too long battle at the end of the movie. It is a movie that could have been much better and taken its place among other great films with a message.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
