Aside from the cliche' "bad guys" being corporate villains and the Pandora natives obviously derivative of Native Americans, AVATAR is a a great vision movie. You can believe that you are watching a different world in all its strange detail. The SFX and 3D are craftily combined to transport you to a different yet familiar planet. Stephen Lang is terrific as the hard-nosed Col. Parker and Sam Worthington delivers a believable punch as the human behind the native AVATAR who grows to love Pandora. Whatever was spent to produce AVATAR is all on the screen. It's definitely worth the time to see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
