Holmes Redux

As a fan of the characters, and critic of Doyles stories, I was happily surprised with the changes made to the characters. Downey, as Holmes, was in great form, and the mystery was fun to watch unravel. Great action scenes. My only complaint was Irene Adler. I hope she isn't a reoccurring character. I think the bond between Holmes and Watson is more interesting and fulfulling than any romantic tension McAdams can supply. Speaking of Watson - AWESOME! It is so great to have a Watson you can really get behind. Jude Law was perfect. I loved this movie. And the sets were amazing, detailed, moody and transported me thoroughly. Kudos to the production staff. And the guy that played Lestrade - perfect.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
