Fantastic Fantasy

This movie will be remembered for years to come. This is a fantastic journey through the imagination of a genius writer. The 3D feature was a bit of a turn-off for me initially as I hate being restricted by gadgets on my face or head. However, after the first 5 minutes I forgot about the glasses and everything else around me and sank deeply into the richness of the sights, sounds and characters - both human and alien. My only knock was the "kind noble alien folk against the big bad American military guys" cliche was a bit hokey - if not unpatriotic. But, just as I was starting to dwell on that point, I was once again pulled back into this exciting, mind-tingling story. Certainly my favorite movie this year!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
