With all the hype, I thought it would be better. It wasn't a bad flick, but it wasn't great either. The story was a variation of Star Trek IX. The 3D in live action was very good; in CGI action it was fair at best. For a 2 1/2 hour movie, it moved right along, and never got boring, although I don't know why. Possibly because of the chase sceens - not all that original, but they did keep my attention. I suspect they were exciting at the time. Unlike my favorite Sci-Fi flicks (Star Wars 4-6, Matrix 1-3, Star Trek 2,4,11, Quiet Earth, 2001 Space Odyssey, Galaxy Quest, Solaris-1972, Fifth Element, Alien, Star Man) I will NOT be purchasing the DVD. I think multiple viewings will just make it worse - probably somewhere between 2 and 3 stars.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
